Brake Electric Motors

The single-phase brake motors MF series are made with the application of an electromagnetic disc-brake onto a single-phase standard motor.

The MF series motors are equipped with a C running capacitor placed inside the terminal board box and in series with the starting electric winding.

Overall dimensions are identical to the three-phase brake motors TF series, except for the dimensions of the terminal board, containing the capacitor, made of impact-resistant plastic.

The capacitor is assembled on to an appropriate support that enables to isolate it from the housing limiting the transmission of temperature and vibrations to the capacitor itself.

The single-phase brake motors are available with B3, B5 and B14 flange and have following characteristics:

• IEC sizes = 56 ÷ 100
  
• Nominal power Pn= 0.09 ÷ 2.2 kW
• Polarity = 2, 4, 6
  
• Brake type: D.C. current
  
• Energy efficiency= IE1
  
• Nominal torque Mn= 0.3 ÷ 15.9 Nm
  
• Rotation speed n = 870 ÷ 2830 rpm
