Stationary Brake Motors

The motors of TFS range are equipped with an electromagnetic standing brake, a c.c. coil and fixed braking torque.

The brake feeding is directly connected to the motor terminal board by a rectifier. In this way the brake automatically releases once you feed the motor.

It is possible to adopt brakes with separate feeding, in the same way as it happens with two speed motors or motors working through inverters.

This kind of brake takes up little space, so the resulting motor length is just a little bit superior to the one of TN three-phase standard motors.

The three-phase brake stationary motors are available with B3, B5 and B14 flange and have following characteristics:

• IEC sizes = 63 ÷ 160
  
• Nominal power Pn= 0.09 ÷ 37 kW
  
• Polarity = 2, 4, 6, 8
  
• Brake type: D.C. current
  
• Energy efficiency= IE1
  
• Nominal torque Mn= 0.63 ÷ 109 Nm
  
• Rotation speed n = 640 ÷ 2935 rpm

The FS brakes are standard supplied with 103 V d.c. power supply for 230/400 V electric motors.
